This comic was drawn as part of Artober 2018 (where one is challenged to create a drawing-per-day through the month of October, especially in black and white ink). It was an exploration of a prologue for a story I’ve been thinking about for over 15 years! It might not be the “official” backstory for Two Planets anymore, but it is still very special to me. I took a lot of inspiration from the song “Nobody Covers for the Matador” by Susanne Sundfor, and by the page designs of Edward Toppi.
